AI funding smashed records in Q1 2025, attracting $66 billion to help companies be smarter, faster, better. In fact, 47 percent of organizations are actively assessing use cases and AI implementation, while 42 percent actively use AI in their operations. Virtually all plan to increase spending on AI this fiscal year.

On the warehousing and logistics front, Amazon recently developed, produced and deployed more than 750,000 robots across its logistics network, estimating a 25 percent productivity boost at next-gen fulfillment facilities.

Big Business is embracing AI, but are people?

Neither the AIs or robots have replaced humanity—yet—and lawyers, trade unions and creative agencies are rewriting contracts to keep it that way. New York governor Kathy Hochul proposed an update to the Warehouse Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN Act) requiring companies to disclose whether layoffs were brought on by AI replacing employees. Consumers are a bit wary too; SAP Emarsys data found that three in 10 consumers would be put off by companies using data irresponsibly.
